Out of my mind

Instead of blaming our discomfort on outer circumstances or on our own weakness, we can choose to stay present and awake to our experience, not rejecting it, not grasping it, not buying the stories that we relentlessly tell ourselves. – Pema Chödrön

I understand this now. It’s about staying out of our heads, and in our bodies – feeling what is actually happening, right here and now. And when my mind goes back to thinking, which it will, then IF I notice, bring it back – again and again – to the body.
